About Lydia Arnold

My career has been based around educational development and key areas of professional interest include:

  • Professional development (learning, teaching and digital)
  • Curriculum development 
  • Phenomenon Based Learning 
  • Authentic Assessment and assessment systems
  • Action Research 
  • Organisational culture
  • Change management

I am a National Teaching Fellow, Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a CMALT holder and assessor and I sit on the Editorial Board of Higher Education Skills and Work Based Learning and presently work as an external at University of Birmingham. I have a first degree in Education Studies & Geography with Mathematics,  a secondary school teaching qualification and a Doctorate in Higher Education from University of Liverpool. 

Apart from being interested in all things educational and techie, I enjoy a busy family life, live music, a bit of baking, walking my dog in the Staffordshire Countryside,  and relaxing with lots of audio books.
